The Quarters is a 28-unit apartment building is located at the corner of South 15th Street and Sewell Street three block east of the McMurry University campus. It is centrally located and is close to all points in Abilene. A coin-operated laundry is available on each level.  Shopping and dining are within walking distance of this complex along South 14th Street.  

Rent at The Quarters includes water, access to two on-premises laundry facility and free cable television.   Residents are responsible for their own electricity.  In the hottest or coldest months, electricity bills may reach $80/month. The property is monitored by 8 video cameras to ensure the safety of the parking lot and common spaces.

All apartments face a central courtyard on the eastern side of the building.  Parking is available in the interior courtyard or around the periphery of the property.

These one-bedroom units are efficiently arranged with a small galley kitchen, ample living space, and a comfortably sized bedroom.
To keep these units attractive, clean, and nice, we do not rent to smokers.  We only rent units with refinished concrete floors to pet owners.  The size, price, and proximity to McMurry University make these apartments an ideal choice for a serious student who desires to live alone.


As all units are one bedroom units, we rent to no more than 2 people per apartment. The proximity to employment opportunities and the apartment's central location make them attractive to students and working individuals throughout town. Prospective tenants are carefully screened because it is our desire to ensure that this building is quiet and safe.

View of the bedroom. The bathroom is obscured by a slight recess from the bedroom for privacy. The closet space is hidden with sliding doors. The bedrooms measure 12' x 10" and can accommodate a queen-sized bed.

 


As an added feature, these units feature a high speed, DSL internet connection free-of-charge.  Wiring for this service is independent of phone lines, permitting the convenience of simultaneous phone service and internet access.  Also, this permits tenants to forgo the expense of traditional phone service by using cellular phone service in tandem with their DSL connection.


Sketch of one bedroom unit.  Total square footage is 20' by 25' for a total of 500 square feet.  There is one, large window in the living area and the same is true for the bedroom.  There is an closet near the entry and a 6'x3' closet in the bedroom. The galley kitchen consists of efficiency-sized stove, sink, and refrigerator. There is a space for a small dining table between the entry closet and the kitchen.  The floors in upstairs units are carpet with tile in the bath and kitchen.  Downstairs units feature refinished concrete slab throughout.
